Unfortunately the weather has turned rainy (inside recess for two straight days) and as new wet spots appear on the ceiling tiles in my school, I'm having flashbacks of flooded classrooms from a year ago when a clogged drainage pipe caused an overflow of April rain to soak through our walls and saturate rugs. (Why one builds an open-concept school on a hill is beyond me.)
As I retrieved my students from music class, some repairmen were in the conference room investigating a stream of water dripping down the wall under the watchful eyes of my principal.
It'll rain most of the week, but I hope the only green I see is on the grass.
