I said, I'd blog the next storm, so here goes...Although first, give me a second to eat my bagel and start my second cup of coffee.Alrighty then, I'm ready :) In my community, teachers, students, and those parents who can take a snow day are at home today. I'm on the couch in my Snuggie, watching The Today Show, and contemplating a nap as I've been up since 5:15.
Currently there's an inch or two of accumulated snow on the ground and as of 8:30 AM, it's in and out snowing/sleeting. Overnight we had ice, so I assume the roads were slippery this morning. (And practically everybody rides a bus, so better safe than sorry.)
A snow day always packs a punch for this teacher.

When I first got up (9:30) I thought a delay would have worked, but hearing the sleet against the wall, I'm thinking this was probably the right call.
It's not an easy call. When all's said and done, I think it was a good call. Did WB call this one?
Oh yea-- on like Tuesday! Tomorrow's not looking good either...
Hi Katie!
I'm pretty sure the stickers and certificates I had are from a catalog called Really Good Stuff. But, I could be wrong, seeing how I bought them two or three years ago.
I like the baby carrot and strawberries idea. I'll have to pass it on to JLo, who said they have to have "healthy" snacks at her school in CA.
