Yesterday was a lazy day and after a busy week at school, it was perfect. Turning down the dial is sometimes, no...always, just what I need.

For supper we had breakfast for dinner and made eggs, home fries, and ham. Later in the evening, we went grocery shopping. Mike and I may be the only couple I know who actually enjoy a weekly trip to Hannaford. We live in a rural community where driving forty-five minutes to the nearest big city is a necessary event. Consequently we don't always make the trip. But when we do, it's a combination of events. Dinner and a movie. (We don't have a theatre). Dinner and clothes shopping. (Although we have a Wal*Mart, it doesn't fit the bill when I'm filling my closet with teaching attire.) Lunch and an appointment with the dentist or orthodontist.

Today I will lesson plan for the upcoming week. It's an odd week with Veteran's Day on Thursday...but four day weeks are wonderful nonetheless. Having no school on Thursday will be a great break as we have parent/teacher conferences on Tuesday and Wednesday from 3-6:00. That brings me to a project I'm doing today. (Take note. This doesn't happen very often.) I got an idea from Chi-Town Girl yesterday.

As for your guys, thanks for "popping" in. No snack for you, sorry.

Thanks for the shout-out! Enjoy your 'easy' week next week. Our kids are off Thursday for Veterans' Day, and Friday for staff development. I'm actually taking Wednesday off because there is a ceremony at my son's school for Juniors (like a ring ceremony) so I'll have two days with my babies. It will be a nice week!
