I usually hold out until August, but since Mike's doing research at Bowdoin, the kids are at their mom's, and I have some spare time, I decided to do it. And you know what? It was fine; I did what I did and left after a couple hours feeling content. And I'm not joking you.
It was a great way to get some organizational tasks out of the way in relative bliss. It was quite a contrast to mid August when I'm positioning furniture, fiddling with items on the wall, and wrestling with the laminator -all in a fever pitch.
Part of the allure this summer are my new books. I inherited LOTS of them from my colleague who retired, so I was ready to bond with my classroom library. I have quite a variety of genres and my collection is three times the size now thanks to Brenda. Of course I am most tickled that I'm adding to one of my favorite series, Henry & Mudge. (Inspiration for the name of my future little boy if Mike agrees. Henry not Mudge.)

That was a smart use of your day. Glad it wasn't traumatic at all :)
Could we call him Mudge though???? I kinda like it :)
That's better than Hank.
