The leaves are HUGE and the blossoms are blooming. They wrapped their little tendrils around anything stationary and while I admire their tenacity, I have to say, I've intervened on behalf of the tomatoes and peppers, so our garden can maintain its diversity and not become one big pumpkin patch.
(Note to self, talk to Mike about digging a separate garden for the cukes and pumpkins, so they can have the run of the(ir) garden.)
Right now, I see the orange blossoms, but I know at least some of them will produce pumpkins for halloween. Might I even have enough so I can bring in a couple for my first grade classroom? Stay tuned...(I'm thinking yes!)
