Yesterday

I was talking my hubby and telling him how content I am.

It was Saturday morning and I sat down to punch out my weekly newsletter for my classroom and I can't even tell you how much fun it was. And it was a Saturday! I should note that I used to keep Saturdays sacred for non-school activity and a part of me wonders what the heck is going on. And as my friend says, "What the Buck?" (Incidentally, I really want to make her Huggy Buggy Bread Pudding without the dates.)

At home and in the classroom, I'm feeling wonderful.

Lately I am drawn to the work and preparation that teaching can demand, and this year it's actually feeling fun. While it's a lot of work and fills every corner of my brain, I'm in the groove baby.

It takes energy to teach and do it right.

The energy it takes to plan is introspective and reflective and I love it.
