with the shades drawn and the windows shut, but a muggy and sunny 89 degrees out.
At dinnertime we'll be with my brother Jamie who is in from
DC. This heat must not be too bad for him given the stifling weather he's used to. It'll be great to see him at our normal meeting place -Gritty's.
Then we're off to Eileen & Amos' and petit Frances on Wednesday. Montreal here we come!
UPDATE: The indoor temperature has climbed to a balmy 80 degrees and we've resorted to opening our cellar door and strategically placing fans around the first story of our house...Mean while, outdoors it's feeling like a steamy 100 (with the humidity).
